Canada vs. USA Face Off in Frontier Series

Ottawa, ON — Canada and the United States will renew their fierce rivalry in women’s para hockey with a three-game series in Ottawa from April 9–12, as part of the Frontier Series—a new cross-border competition showcasing the sport’s top talent and growing international profile.

The series marks the first meeting between the two teams since their dramatic clash in the gold medal game at the 2025 World Championships in Dolný Kubín, Slovakia. With both programs continuing to elevate the level of competition, fans can expect fast-paced, high-intensity action throughout the weekend.

All games will be held at the Richcraft Sensplex Arena (813 Shefford Rd.) with free admission for spectators, offering a unique opportunity for the community to experience elite women’s para hockey up close.

Game Schedule:

  • Friday, April 10 – 5:30 PM

  • Saturday, April 11 – 5:30 PM

  • Sunday, April 12 – 9:30 AM

The Frontier Series is modeled after the highly successful Rivalry Series in women’s stand-up hockey and aims to build visibility and competitive opportunities for women’s para hockey athletes on both sides of the border.

This series also comes at a pivotal time for the sport, as the global women’s para hockey community continues to advocate for inclusion in the 2030 Paralympic Winter Games. Events like the Frontier Series highlight the skill, determination, and international appeal of the game, strengthening the case for Paralympic recognition.

Fans, families, and supporters are encouraged to attend, cheer on the athletes, and be part of a movement pushing the sport to new heights.

Admission is free.
